The original Birds of Belmar Park (1st Ed.) booklet was created in the 1980s. Today’s edition was inspired by an enthusiastic birder and Lakewood resident who wanted to find more current information about birds he is likely to see when visiting Belmar Park. Supported by local artists, staff from Bear Creek Lake Park and Audubon volunteers, this collaborative project now provides that data, packaged with hand-drawn illustrations.
