Caring by Sharing

For over 35 years, Lakewood Police Department’s Caring by Sharing Program has hand-delivered holiday baskets filled with food and gifts to community members in need.  This outstanding program positively impacts households from young families to aging adults across Lakewood. 

Caring by Sharing was developed so that the Lakewood Police Department could provide additional support services to the community.

In 2006, Caring by Sharing was recognized by the Jefferson County Good News Coalition for bringing Jefferson County residents together to celebrate the positive happenings and values that link our diverse communities.

SERVICES

In addition to holiday baskets, Caring by sharing provides backpacks, school supplies and winter apparel to the Action Center throughout the year.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE

Caring by Sharing is funded solely through in-kind donations from City of Lakewood employees and local businesses.
