Alameda and Utah Pedestrian Improvements

Project Description
The W. Alameda Parkway and W Utah Ave. Pedestrian Crossing and Sidewalk improvements include a new pedestrian crossing and sidewalk on W. Alameda Parkway near W. Utah Ave. The pedestrian crossing will include a raised median island in the middle of Alameda to serve as a pedestrian refuge, as well as a High Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) signal similar to the two signals on S. Union Boulevard north of W. 2nd Place, and at Sere Lane. A new sidewalk will be constructed on the north side of W. Alameda Parkway to connect the Utah Trailhead to the Green Mountain Trailhead. 

February 2026 Update

Recently Completed Work
The HAWK signal is complete and has been opened to pedestrian traffic. Pedestrian railing along the new sidewalk near the Utah Trailhead has been installed and the sidewalk connecting the Utah Trailhead to the Green Mountain Trailhead is now open.
