Lakewood's Youth Programs Grant application will open March 1, 2026 through April 1 at 5 p.m. and offers grants of up to $50,000 for qualifying youth programs that make a positive impact on children in Lakewood. Total available funding for 2026 is $350,000.
Youth Program applications will compete directly with all other applications received based on the following criteria:
- Programs and services that serve Lakewood youth
- Registered with Secretary of State
- 501C3 status
- 3 years of operation
- Additional consideration will be given to those applications who offer programs and services for underserved populations in Lakewood and/or the business is located in Lakewood.
- Additional consideration will also be given to those applications requesting funds for scholarships that are eligible to Lakewood youth.
A committee of city staff who work to support youth programming will make the final selection of programs to be funded based on the criteria above. After projects are selected and the disbursement is approved by Lakewood City Council, city staff will work with the applicant to disburse funds with reporting required including details as to how the funds were spent.
