Nonprofits may apply for Lakewood youth program grant beginning March
Published on February 11, 2026
Does your organization provide programs and services supporting youth activities in Lakewood? Apply for a grant from Lakewood’s 2026 Youth Program Grant.
These grants are an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to introduce unique or otherwise cost-prohibitive programming or to support existing programming that serves youth in Lakewood. The application process opens March 1 and closes at 5 p.m. on April 1. The online application, information about the requirements and a listing of previous awards are available at LakewoodCO.gov/YouthProgramGrant.
Grants of up to $50,000 are available for a youth program or organization serving children, with a total of $350,000 to be awarded in 2026, thanks to proceeds from the sale of the Denver Broncos. Project proposals compete directly with other proposals and are evaluated based on criteria including the benefit to Lakewood youth, nonprofit status, and scholarship opportunities, with extra credit given to those organizations that provide programs and services to underserved populations. Following a committee evaluation, Lakewood City Council will approve the final selection of the programs to receive grant awards.
