About the event 

Celebrating Lakewood’s agricultural heritage with an entertaining mix of live performances, activities and tasty harvest treats, the annual Cider Days festival offers fun and excitement for the entire family!

Tickets

This event includes tractor pulls and vintage power displays, children's activities, historic demonstrations and a unique variety of exhibitors and vendors. The Cider Days festival wouldn’t be complete without everything apple, including apple pressing, cider and a variety of apple goodies

Know before you go

Cider Pressing

If you plan to participate in Cider Pressing, don’t forget to bring your own apples and an empty jug so you can take your cider home with you! Groups cannot press more than one 5-gallon bucket’s worth of apples. If you have more apples than that, we recommend you Register for our Cider Pressing event.

Bike to Cider Days & get $1 off your first cider!  

Skip the parking game and ride your bike to Cider Days! Drop your bike at the FREE Bike Valet located near Heritage Lakewood Visitor Center at (801 S. Yarrow St.) and we’ll check it for safe keeping until 4 p.m. both days. As a bonus, all bikers will receive $1 off their first cup of non-alcoholic cider!

Parking

The lot at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, 801 S. Yarrow St., is reserved exclusively for those who need accessible parking and our free bike valet.
Limited parking is available along S. Yarrow Street | Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway | Lakewood Police Department, 445 S. Allison Parkway | Belmar Shopping Center, 465 S. Teller Street.

Shuttles

Free shuttles: Belmar, Downtown Lakewood, 465 S. Teller St. | Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway | Lakewood Police Department, 445 S. Allison Parkway. Shuttles begin operating 30 minutes before the festival opens and will continue running until 30 minutes after it closes each day.

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Cider Days.

Amusements

All amusements are INCLUDED with admission:

Apple arts & crafts, cider pressing, face painting, goat walkabout, wagon rides, barrel train, magician & balloons, line dancing, tractor pull, train rides, trick pig show and more.

Please note that all official communication regarding Cider Days will come from an official Lakewood city email address.

Saturday, Oct. 3

  • 10:30–11:30 a.m. – Saint Colfax Bluegrass

  • Noon–1 p.m. – Orchard Creek Band

  • 1:30–2:30 p.m. – High Lonesome

  • 3–4 p.m. – Jake Leg

Sunday, Oct. 4

  • 10–10:30 a.m. – Dennis Valasquez Native Flute

  • 11 a.m.–12:15 p.m. – Ms. Amy and the Jet Set

  • 12:45–2 p.m. – Pennies on the Track

  • 2:30–3:45 p.m. – Slopeside Band

 

Historic Demonstrations

Visit our historic building to enjoy unique and timeless demonstrations.

A: Country School: Embroidery, weaving, tufting, lace making and quilting.

B: Farmyard: Tractor races, butter making, and beekeeping.

C: Calving Barn: Printmaking, wood carving, Native American beadwork.

D: 1930s House: Vintage sewing and homemaking.

E: Auction House: WW1 Sock knitting machine.

F: Tractor Shed: Blacksmithing.

G: Caretaker's Cottage: Rug hooking.

Directions (from Denver): Follow 6th Ave to CO-121 S/Wadsworth Blvd in Lakewood. Take the CO-121 S/Wadsworth Blvd exit from US-6 W. Follow CO-121 S/Wadsworth Blvd to Alameda Ave. OR Virginia Ave. Turn west onto Alameda or Virginia and follow event parking signage and staff.
NOTE: Ohio Avenue will be CLOSED. Please access the event parking via Alameda Avenue or Virginia Ave.
