Love Lakewood Day is an annual citywide volunteer event that engages community volunteers and residents in making a difference in their community. The day unites schools, faith groups, neighborhood organizations and nonprofits for a morning of memorable community service. The purpose of Love Lakewood Day is to build a culture of local volunteerism in Lakewood, inspiring the community to continue to volunteer throughout the year.
“This is a truly meaningful day for Lakewood. The schools, neighborhoods and locations that benefit from this volunteer work are incredibly thankful, and the volunteers feel a great sense of pride in the work they have provided to make their community a better place,” Neighborhood Support Team Coordinator Trevor Wolfson said.
This is the fourth annual Love Lakewood Day, and volunteers can still register online to work at sites on Sept. 19 at LakewoodCO.gov/LLD. In 2025, nearly 400 volunteers contributed $46,400 worth of volunteer hours to 21 projects that included 15 schools, three major neighborhood cleanups and the complete painting of one house.
