There is one opening on the Design Review Commission. The Commission is comprised of five members (two staff and three residents).
Applicants must demonstrate a competency in design review by having a background in architecture, design and urban planning. The commission participates in the creation of design guidelines for new development in Lakewood and has the authority to review design review applications within designated areas of the city. The recommendations made by the commission are based on the criteria in adopted design guidelines. The commission must meet four times a year.
