City of Lakewood, CO - Police DepartmentThe Lakewood Police Department will be applying for a grant awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Office of Justice Programs. This grant is the Local Allocations Program. This grant provides agencies with funding to help where it is needed most; hot spot enforcement, replace its obsolete Livescan system, acquire ballistic vest carriers and night‑vision goggle mounts, support professional development and training, and replace essential communications equipment. Jefferson County Sheriff will use JAG funds to staff the Colorado LifeTrak Program for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and brain trauma.
