INSPIRE Arts Lakewood

Inspire Arts Lakewood Logo

For more than ten years, INSPIRE Arts Lakewood has been a gateway for residents to engage with the city’s rich creative landscape — even receiving a Governor’s Award in 2016. In the past, the summer season concentrated a wide range of free and affordable cultural activities across more than 20 galleries, businesses, and community spaces.

After 12 years of programming, it’s clear that Lakewood’s artistic energy deserves to be highlighted beyond a single season. Going forward, INSPIRE will spotlight and support the work of local arts and culture partners year‑round through ongoing web and social media promotion. This new approach strengthens the connection between the community and the creators who bring color and character to Lakewood.

To launch this expanded, year‑round focus, the city’s Heritage, Culture & the Arts facilities will offer free exhibitions and events throughout the summer.

A public reception will be on May 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. for the opening of several new shows:

• Amazar Tales | North Gallery

• Complexity | Lobby and Corner Galleries

• The Colorado Watercolor Society National Juried Show | Mezzanine

• Plein Air Buddies | Richey Gallery
