Parks are places for everyone to play, relax and spend time together. The city is planning improvements at Lakewood Estates Park to make it easier for visitors with disabilities to access the park and enjoy its amenities.
The project includes a new concrete route and curb ramp near the play area, along with a van-accessible parking space. Together, these improvements are designed to create a more accessible connection from parking to the park for people who use wheelchairs, walkers or other mobility devices, and for anyone who benefits from a smoother route.
