Fundraiser to benefit Co-Responder/Mental Health Team
We are a primary, secondary and care management team. For primary response, we ride with law enforcement officers to respond to behavioral health crisis in the Lakewood community. Assist in de-escalation, problem solving and on-scene assessment and recommendation to next step in care for the individual. In our secondary response, our team follow ups with the community to build relationship, offer support and resources to prevent further involvement with law enforcement or unnecessary emergency room visits.

Case management involves identifying needs and goals and equipping the individual and support net with resources. Assist in breaking down barriers to get individuals back to the quality of life they desire. We also assist the community in providing consultation and education around mental health and substance use challenges. We provide guidance in civil petitions for mental health evaluations, extreme risk protection orders for firearms, firearm safety and lethality education, and provide assessments for potential threats of violence in the community.
