Simms Street and W. 8^th Avenue signal Replacement

Project Description
The traffic signal at the intersection of W. 8^th Avenue and Simms Street will be replaced along with replacement of the curb ramps with directional ADA curb ramps, new storm sewer inlets, and small retaining walls.

July 2026 Update

Recently Completed Work
New traffic signal poles and mast arms have been installed at all four corners of the intersection, as well as removal of existing striping and the installation of new striping.

Current Work
The project is substantially complete with the only remaining items being site restoration.

Upcoming Work
Over the next several weeks, the contractor will complete general site cleanup. Installation of sod and a small landscaping wall.

Traffic Impacts
There are no current or planned traffic impacts to complete the project.

Target Project Completion
The remaining work is estimated to be completed by the end of August 2026.
