W. 20th Avenue – Vance to Teller streets

Project Description
The traffic signal at the intersection of W. 20th Avenue and Teller Street will be replaced, and new sidewalk and ADA compliant curb ramps will be added on the south side of W. 20th Avenue from west of Vance Street to east of Teller Street to connect the sidewalk gap in this area. Storm sewer pipes will also be added to help mitigate drainage issues in the area.

April 2026 Update

Recently Completed Work
Retaining walls, curb and gutter, and sidewalk have been installed along the south side of W. 20th Avenue between Teller Street and Vance Street. All storm sewer improvements have also been installed in this area.

Current Work
Construction of the traffic signal wiring will continue into early April and is expected to be completed before the end of the month. After the traffic signals and associated hardware are finished, the curb ramps at the corners of W. 20th Avenue and Teller Street will be completed in the following weeks.

Traffic Impacts
Traffic control will include intermittent lane closures at the intersection of W. 20th Avenue and Teller Street to facilitate the traffic signal and curb ramp construction.

Target Project Completion
Final construction of the signals, curb ramps, site restorations, and landscaping is expected to be completed by the end of April 2026. Significant lane closures should be completed by this time, but periodic lane closures may occur to allow the contractor to access elements along the roadway.
