Project DescriptionThis project will install a pedestrian crossing on Youngfield Avenue near Myrtlewood Lane (adjacent to Abrusci’s). The work consists of building concrete pedestrian islands, adjacent to each side of Youngfield, and installing a flashing beacon. The amber lights would only flash when a pedestrian pushes a button on either side of the street. The lights alert drivers to the presence of a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
May 2026 Update
Current Work Work on the concrete pedestrian islands will begin the week of May 11.
Traffic Impacts Parking areas will be restricted in the immediate vicinity of the construction. Otherwise, no traffic impacts are anticipated.
Target Project Completion All work is anticipated to be completed by mid-June.
